Ecofont uses a font called Spranq_eco_sans_regular to perform the magic. So how does it work? It is actually fairly simple. Inside of the font itself are small circles that use no ink, but are invisible to the naked eye. The font blown up looks like this:
By setting the font as your default you can start saving on ink immediately.
